It started out with two, and somehow we now have four. Actually, one is a toad. Nate was enthralled that this guy decided to hop out and join us for dinner.
There are lots of frogs (toads) that roam around behind our house (although, sadly- very sadly- their frumpy croaking at night is slowly fading as the landscape changes behind our house. I am still not, and will not quite ever be over, 'this'.) The sound of crickets and frogs at night, their conversations filtering through my open windows as I tried to sleep when I was a little girl, bring me a freshness, calm, and simple gaiety that only sounds of nature can bring.
One, two, three and four. I love how many shades of green are threaded through their skins. We've kept the top of the little container open for them to jump in and out as they please- which only excites Nate that much more as he sees their little selves pop in and out.
